Job summary

Bethel School District 52 is seeking an 8 hour per day Nutrition Services Coordinator to oversee daily kitchen operations within the Nutrition Services program. The role focuses on coordinating workflow, guiding staff, maintaining records, and ensuring USDA/state compliance for safe, nutritious meals.

The coordinator will work with Nutrition Services Workers, manage meal production and service, monitor quality and safety, order supplies, and uphold district policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of experience equivalent to a Nutrition Services Worker involving meal preparation and kitchen operations.
• Any satisfactory combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, abilities, and skills for the role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily kitchen operations and workflow to ensure efficient meal production and service.
• Organizes daily work activities and supports the Nutrition Services Worker to maintain efficient operations.
• Provides guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training in department procedures and established work practices.
• Prepares and serves meals that meet USDA and state requirements for quality and safety.
• Monitors meal service to ensure food quality, portion control, and customer service.
• Orders food and supplies, maintains inventory, rotates stock, and minimizes waste.
• Maintains production and inventory records, meal counts, and temperature logs.
