Job summary

Lexington County School District One is seeking a reliable Food Service Operator for Lexington High School in Lexington, SC. The role involves preparing and serving meals, maintaining sanitary kitchen areas, and ensuring compliance with district and USDA guidelines.

The position reports to the Food Service Manager and runs 7 hours per day during the school year. Qualifications include a high school diploma and prior food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
• Prior food service experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepares breakfast and/or lunch portions following approved recipes or package directions and serves meals.
• Maintains sanitary conditions in assigned work areas; cleans kitchen equipment and surfaces.
• Operates food service equipment and cash registers as assigned, reports major repair needs to supervisor.
• Keeps simple records and reports as directed.
• Supports and upholds the district's mission and policies in daily service to students.
