Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• 48 credits of college coursework or an Associate’s degree; paraPro or WorkKeys credentials satisfy the requirement.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with diverse families in an urban setting and knowledge of their needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Promotes family and student engagement within the Boston Public Schools.
• Develops an individual work plan with measurable deliverables for family engagement.
• Responds empathetically to concerns raised by parents and develops advocacy strategies.
• Coordinates family supports and navigates the larger school system for families.
• Organizes family engagement events and workshops to address community needs.
