Roosevelt Elementary in Boston Public Schools seeks a Family Liaison to strengthen family engagement and partnerships between schools and families. The role focuses on connecting families to opportunities, coordinating resources, and building trustful relationships to improve student outcomes.

You will work with school staff to create welcoming environments, develop engagement plans, and support families through the Boston Public Schools system while using data to measure impact.

Formación

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; 48 college credits or an Associate's Degree; passing ParaPro or WorkKeys assessments.
• At least 3 years of experience with diverse families in an urban setting; strong communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to create reports and maintain records; data-driven.
• Strong knowledge of community resources and ability to connect families to services.

Responsabilidades

• Promotes the district vision for family and student engagement.
• Assesses and improves family engagement structures in the school.
• Develops an individual work plan with measurable deliverables.
• Responds to parent concerns with empathy and resolves issues.
• Refers students and families to internal or external supports as needed.
• Coordinates outreach for school registration, transportation, and family events.
• Ensures timely and accessible communication with families in multiple languages.
• Maintains data to document outcomes of family engagement activities.
