Job summary

Hebrew Academy of Cleveland is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the daily on-site facilities operations of the school building. You will ensure the facility is safe, clean, and ready to support a high-quality learning environment, reporting to the Facilities Director.

This hands-on role requires coordinating routine maintenance, supervising custodial staff, and monitoring HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance, facilities, or site operations.
• Strong working knowledge of building systems.
• Ability to perform hands-on maintenance and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day building operations, maintenance, and custodial activities.
• Perform and coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
• Monitor HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems; troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Respond promptly to facility issues and emergencies.
• Coordinate vendors and contractors for repairs and services.
• Support room setups, events, and daily school operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and facility standards.
• Serve as the primary on-site contact for facilities-related needs.
