Qualifications

• OSHA standards knowledge and compliance expectations.
• Experience with cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
• Some knowledge of HVAC operation procedures.
• Skill with small cleaning/landscaping equipment.
• Ability to maintain positive working relations with staff.
• Ability to perform duties without interrupting classes unless needed.
• Ability to climb stairs and perform duties without elevator.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs and dexterity for job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Move and arrange furniture for classrooms and rooms.
• Assemble furniture on arrival as needed.
• Assist with installation of HVAC units.
• Perform roof repairs to prevent leaks.
• Transport curriculum orders and supplies.
• Perform plumbing repairs including toilets and urinals.
• Clean floors: scrub, dust, mop, wax, polish.
• Wash windows and woodwork.
• Restroom fixture cleaning.
• Maintain inventory and supplies.
• Replenish tissue, towels, soap in restrooms/kitchen/classrooms.
• Replace light bulbs and fluorescent tubes.
• Rake trash and debris inside/outside.
• Lawn and landscaping maintenance.
• Keep sidewalks and entrances clear.
• General cleanliness and repair of ceilings, walls, floors, desks.
• Empty wastebaskets and dispose.
• Lock/unlock doors and gates.
• Sort and store recyclables.
• Make minor repairs to furniture or facilities.
• Report damages to supervisor and arrange outside attention.
• Turn HVAC on/off; perform routine maintenance.
• Record and report hazards to Office Manager and Headmaster.
