Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or completion of at least two years of college required; focus in education desired.
• Ability to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
• Ability to perform clerical duties and operate common office machines.

Responsibilities

• Teach a resource class (art, p.e., music, computer lab).
• Assist with morning drop off and afternoon pickup.
• Encourage and monitor promptness in unpacking backpacks and turning in work.
• Communicate with parents as needed.
• Accompany students to the office for health checks or to call a parent.
• Monitor behavior on the playground during recess.
• Grade papers and record grades as directed by the teacher.
• Process field trip paperwork and money.
• Assist with classroom routines and maintain safety procedures.
• Attend required training and remain flexible for assignments.
