Job summary

Uxbridge Public Schools seeks a Director of Facilities to oversee maintenance, operations, construction and security of all school facilities, and to lead capital improvement planning.

The role manages annual operating and capital budgets, coordinates procurement and contracts, and supervises three maintenance FTEs plus part-time staff. You will work with principals and town agencies to ensure safe, compliant environments for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience managing school or municipal facilities and capital projects.
• Knowledge of procurement, contracts, and bid processes.
• Strong budgeting, safety, and regulatory compliance understanding.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate department vision, goals, policies and procedures.
• Manage 5-year capital improvement planning and annual operating budgets.
• Oversee maintenance, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems; supervise staff.
• Coordinate with principals and town agencies on safety and compliance.
• Procure work, supervise vendors, and ensure service levels meet standards.

MCPPO Certification (preferred)
