Job summary

Northbridge Public Schools seeks a Director of Facilities to lead custodial, maintenance and grounds operations across Whitinsville facilities. You will plan and supervise staff, manage budgets, and coordinate with regulators to ensure safety and compliance.

The role requires oversight of preventive maintenance, capital projects, and security systems, with a focus on energy efficiency and safety in a district-wide context.

Qualifications

• At least three years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management, building operations, construction, engineering, or a related field.
• Supervisory experience managing staff and contractors.
• Working knowledge of building systems and maintenance.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise custodial, maintenance, and grounds operations, including staffing and evaluations.
• Direct all district facilities and grounds management and planning functions.
• Develop cost-effective facilities policies and procedures for teaching and learning.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with laws, codes, and safety standards.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance and work-order programs.
• Plan and oversee maintenance, repairs, renovations, and capital projects with contractors and consultants.
• Maintain facilities records and budgets.
• Respond to facilities emergencies and outages after hours when needed.
• Develop multi-year capital plans and energy efficiency opportunities.
• Monitor security systems and coordinate with technology staff.
