Job summary

Uxbridge Public Schools is seeking a Director of Facilities to manage maintenance, operations, construction, and safety across all district facilities. The role includes budgeting, capital planning, vendor management, and ensuring a clean, compliant environment for students and staff.

You will supervise UPS Maintenance FTE, administrative staff, and grounds personnel, collaborate with town agencies, and lead multi-year improvement projects while upholding federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of municipal construction and procurement, including M.G.L. Chapter 30, 30B, and 149.
• Valid Massachusetts motor vehicle operator’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead department vision, goals, policies and procedures.
• Oversee facilities maintenance, HVAC, security, and energy management.
• Develop five-year capital plan and manage budgets.
• Supervise UPS Maintenance FTE and support staff.
• Coordinate with town agencies and School Committee.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field

Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible supervisory experience
