Job summary

Uxbridge Public Schools seeks a Director of Facilities to oversee maintenance, operations, construction and security for all school facilities. The role manages annual budgets, leads a small team of maintenance staff, and coordinates capital improvements and safety programs to support district objectives.

The position requires strong leadership, budgeting proficiency, and expertise in building systems. It is a 12-month, full-time role with competitive salary in the Massachusetts market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible supervisory experience that is directly relevant for performing the functions of the job.
• Knowledge of municipal construction and procurement, including M.G.L. Chapter 30, 30B, and 149.
• Valid Massachusetts motor vehicle operator’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead department vision, goals, policies and procedures.
• Monitor and manage facilities maintenance, capital projects, safety and security.
• Supervise maintenance staff and outsourced work to meet service levels.
• Coordinate with school stakeholders and Town agencies on budgets and projects.
