Job summary

Diocese of Venice, Inc. is seeking a full-time Facilities Director for St. Martha Catholic School & St. Mary Academy in Sarasota, FL. The role requires supervising staff, planning work, maintaining morale, and ensuring facilities/equipment are properly maintained.

The position includes on-call responsibilities, coordination with vendors, and oversight of maintenance projects within budget. A high school diploma is required, with college/trade preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; college/trade school preferred.
• Experience with successful facilities management.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and two HVAC software platforms.
• General knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
• AutoCAD proficiency for on-demand maps.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities and equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Perform routine electrical, lighting, plumbing and carpentry repairs.
• Be on-call 24/7 for emergencies and coordinate with vendors.
• Keep logs: key, materials, vendors, maintenance, and safety records.
• Oversee maintenance staff and schedule work within budget.
• Develop contracts and supervise outside contractors.
