Qualifications

• General knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD (create/move items, room names, views for on-demand maps).
• Must be available on-call 24/7 for emergencies.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks regularly.
• Valid US Driver's License; pass background check and FDLE fingerprinting.
• Must pass post-offer DOV physical exam.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities/equipment and ensure proper operation.
• Perform routine electrical, lighting, plumbing and carpentry repairs.
• Respond to emergencies and be on-call 24/7 to meet vendors or repair crews.
• Keep logs: key, materials, vendor, preventive maintenance and HVAC records.
• Coordinate with special projects and events; supervise maintenance staff.
• Develop contracts and oversee work by outside contractors.
• Order materials and supplies per budget; maintain adequate inventory.
• Enforce custodial methods and supervise daily custodial activities.
• Keep OSHA chemical logs; maintain maintenance shop.
• Create/update maps in AutoCAD for on-demand layout views.

Title: Facilities Director, Full-time (37.5 hrs./wk.)

Overview

St. Martha and St. Mary Bishop Nevins Academy is seeking a full-time Facilities Director to instruct and train employees in methods and procedures. Ability to supervise personnel, plan and assign work, and maintain morale of crew.

Job Requirements

• Responsible for ensuring that the facilities/equipment are maintained properly.
• Performs routine electrical, lighting, plumbing and carpentry repairs.
• Respond quickly to emergency problems and be on-call 24/7 to meet with vendors, repairmen or suppliers, when necessary
• Performs record-keeping activities including but not limited to; key log, materials database, vendor database, physical plant preventative maintenance log, HVAC equipment/maintenance log, employee records/directory, daily building inspections, utility logs, outstanding activities log, and monthly activity reports.
• Coordinates and assists with special projects and events as directed.
• Develop contracts and oversees work performed by outside contractors.
• Schedules and oversees maintenance staff members
• Order materials/parts/supplies as needed per budget
• Recommends major maintenance projects.
• Directs and supervises the daily activities of custodians to meet operational needs/changes in custodial support requirements.
• Enforces custodial methods, procedures, and standards for the performance of custodial work.
• Administers evaluations of individual custodial work performance.
• Develop short-term plans for major cleaning projects during school breaks.
• Evaluates maintenance/cleaning products and equipment and maintains adequate supplies, equipment, and materialsfor maintenance and care of the facility.
• Keep OSHA chemical logs
• Keep Maintenance shop clean and organized
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD. Able to create/move items, room names, create views, etc. for maps on demand.
• Other tasks as assigned

• Must be available on-call 24/7 for emergencies
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb, bend, kneel, stretch, reach etc. on a regular basis.
• Valid US Driver's License.
• Must pass background check, including Fingerprint (FDLE Level 2)
• Must pass a post offer DOV assigned physical exam.
