Job summary

Charter Schools USA is seeking a Full-Time Day Custodian to keep school facilities clean, safe and well maintained. The role requires basic education, janitorial experience, and adherence to safety procedures within a school environment.

You will be responsible for interior cleaning, exterior maintenance, waste removal, and assisting with maintenance tasks, with travel possible to nearby campuses as needed.

Qualifications

• Education -- minimum high school graduate with continuing education related to construction or facilities.
• Experience -- minimum of 1 year of janitorial trade experience.
• Special Qualifications -- must possess the above knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas: interior hallways, restrooms, offices, classrooms, multipurpose room; exterior perimeter and parking areas.
• Empty trash from all receptacles; dust FF&E, sills, vents; sterilize restrooms; clean cafeteria tables and floors.
• Assist with cleaning projects and preventive maintenance processes; follow OSHA safety procedures.
• Review developments in janitorial practices and report to supervisor; stay on school property during shift.
• Assist with emergencies as needed and respond to requests from supervisor.
• Travel to nearby schools or warehouse/storage when required.

Education
