Job summary

Charter Schools USA is seeking a Full-Time Day Custodian to keep school facilities clean, safe and well maintained. You will perform interior cleaning of hallways, restrooms, offices, classrooms and multipurpose spaces, as well as exterior perimeter cleaning and window care.

You will also empty trash and assist with cafeteria upkeep. Responsibilities include dusting, sterilizing high-use areas, and supporting maintenance projects.

Qualifications

• Education -- minimum high school graduate with continuing education construction or facilities related.
• Experience -- A minimum of 1 years of janitorial trade experience.
• Special Qualifications -- Must possess the above knowledge, skills, and abilities (Skills and Knowledge).
• May perform other duties assigned.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas interior: hallways, restrooms, offices, classrooms, multipurpose room and any other area as directed.
• Exterior cleaning of perimeter, parking lot, playground, windows and other areas as assigned.
• Empty trash from all receptacles and maintain cleanliness of cafeteria areas.
• Dust FF&E, sills, vents and other surfaces; sterilize restrooms.
• Assist with preventative maintenance processes and monitoring systems.
• Travel to nearby schools or warehouses may be required.
• Follow OSHA and safety procedures; report emergencies as needed.
