Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Custodian to maintain the school building and grounds, ensuring a clean, attractive, and safe learning environment. You will report problems to the principal and maintenance when they arise to keep facilities in good condition.

Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, offices, restrooms, cafeteria, gym, and auditorium, plus keeping areas stocked and organized. Prior cleaning experience is preferred, and the job involves lifting and physical tasks as part of daily

Qualifications

• High School graduate preferred.
• Previous experience with institutional cleaning preferred.
• Experience working with or near young children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep building and grounds neat and clean.
• Maintain floors in offices, classrooms, workrooms, library, and restrooms daily.
• Maintain supplies in classrooms, workroom, and restrooms.
• Empty trash in buildings daily.
• Clean cafeteria and take out trash after breakfast and lunch daily.
• Empty trash in kitchen daily.
• Maintain school grounds and minor maintenance as needed.
• Clean basketball gym and school auditorium.
