Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a part-time Building Custodian to maintain and clean school facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, offices, and common areas; setting up spaces for events; and ensuring secure, safe conditions throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• No experience required; cleaning, chemical handling and customer service preferred.
• Criminal background check and Colorado driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties: cleaning, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, trash removal. Ensure safe, clean facility.
• Set up/tear down for events; assist with use and care of facility.
• Secure facility and monitor building security; respond to alarms and incidents.
• Perform daily maintenance on custodial equipment and report needs to supervisor.
• Use chemicals safely with SDS compliance; monitor safety and cleanliness of the site.
• Assist with renovations and special cleaning; handle snow removal as needed.
