Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Custodial Worker to maintain cleanliness in multiple buildings. You will perform routine custodial duties, operate cleaning equipment, and assist with basic repairs as needed.

Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms and offices, bathrooms, and common areas, moving furniture for cleaning, and supporting after-school activities. Flexible hours and summer coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of custodial materials, methods, and equipment.
• Ability to operate custodial equipment safely.
• Must follow safety precautions and procedures.
• Basic computer skills to check emails and work tickets.

Responsibilities

• Keep classrooms, offices, bathrooms, and halls clean and orderly.
• Vacuum carpets and dispose of trash and recyclables.
• Wash windows, desks, sinks, and other surfaces.
• Set up and break down for activities and events.
• Report repairs and supply needs to supervisor.
• Attend to summer cleaning tasks and building maintenance.
