Job summary

Qualifications

• Follows safety training annually and uses PPE as required.
• Punctual, dependable and able to work weekends/holidays when needed.
• Strong communication and teamwork to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Remains on school premises during all scheduled work hours per contract.
• Cleans and maintains areas per District standards as assigned by Head Custodian.
• Adheres to Board policies, district procedures and Master Agreement with CICD99 and SIEU Local 73.
• Operates and maintains cleaning equipment including buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, washers, buffers, vacuums, and standard cleaning tools.
• Communicates with administration about developments and problems, and participates in problem solving.
• Maintains a safe environment by following safety practices and completing required safety training annually.
• Performs daily cleaning tasks: desks, chairs, boards, fountains, restrooms, floors, surfaces, and waste removal.
• Sets up/tears down for school and non-school activities: chairs, tables, bleachers, cafeteria furniture.
• Performs snow removal and salting of sidewalks, entrances, parking lots, and drives as needed.
