Job summary

WMJ Services is seeking School Custodian/Janitors to support our West Michigan facilities. This role offers both part-time and full-time shifts, with 1st shift 11:00am–3:00pm and 2nd shift 4:00pm–8:00pm or 6:00pm–10:00pm; full-time 4:00pm–12:30am.

Candidates should be dependable, able to lift up to 25 pounds, and pass a background check and fingerprinting. Responsibilities include cleaning restrooms and common areas, restocking supplies, and reporting maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• No Experience required.
• Must be able to pass a background check and fingerprinting.
• Ability to work independently and stay on task.
• Ability to read and comprehend safety materials.

Responsibilities of School Custodian/Janitor:

• Follow all company and facility cleaning procedures
• Clean, sanitize and restock restrooms and common areas
• Empty trash and recyclable receptacles
• Clean and disinfect hard surfaces
• Vacuum, sweep and mop floors
• Report maintenance issues, supply needs and other concerns to a Team Lead or Manager

Requirements of Custodian/Janitor:

• No Experience, No Problem!
• Dependable and reliable attendance
• Ability to work independently and stay on task
• Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to use motorized equipment (vacuum, hand operated floor cleaners)
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety related materials
• MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK & FINGERPRINTING

Custodians/Janitors have daily exposure to cleaning solutions.

Hiring for both part-time (P/T) & full-time (F/T)

1st Shift (Days) - P/T is 11:00am to 3:00pm

2nd Shift (Evenings) - P/T is 4:00pm to 8:00pm or 6:00pm to 10:00pm & F/T is 4:00pm to 12:30am
