Job summary

WMJ Services seeks a Custodian/Janitor to maintain the cleanliness of schools in West Michigan, covering classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas. You will manage supplies, dispose of trash, and help keep facilities safe and presentable.

No experience is required for this role; training will be provided. The shift is typically 3:30pm–7:30pm, Monday through Friday, with possible variations for school events. Must pass background and fingerprinting.

Qualifications

• No experience required for the Custodian/Janitor role.
• Communicate effectively with manager and staff about issues and supplies.
• Able to walk, stand for long periods and perform cleaning tasks.
• Able to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Able to operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Must be able to read and understand safety materials.
• Background check and fingerprinting must be passed.

• Effectively communicate with manager and other staff regarding issues and supply needs
• Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to use motorized equipment (vacuum, hand operated floor cleaners)
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety related materials
• Must be able to pass a background check & fingerprinting

Role of Custodian/Janitor:
