Job summary

West Michigan Janitorial is seeking a Custodian/Janitor to maintain the cleanliness of school facilities in West Michigan. You will clean restrooms, mop and sweep floors, stock supplies, and dispose of trash, supporting a safe and healthy learning environment.

No prior experience is required; training will be provided. The role runs from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, Monday through Friday, offering steady part-time work with a friendly team and opportunities to grow within the company.

Requirements of Custodian/Janitor:

• No Experience, No Problem!
• Effectively communicate with manager and other staff regarding issues and supply needs
• Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to use motorized equipment (vacuum, hand operated floor cleaners)
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety related materials
• Must be able to pass a background check & fingerprinting

Role of Custodian/Janitor:

• Maintaining the cleanliness of schools
• Cleaning, stocking and sanitizing restrooms
• Disposing of trash & recycling
• Mopping & sweeping floors
• Dusting and surface cleaning
• Windows and glass cleaning
• Inventory management of supplies

Custodians/Janitors have daily exposure to cleaning solutions.

Shift Time: 4:00pm to 8:00pm (Monday through Friday)
