Job summary

WMJ Services is seeking a Third Shift Commercial Custodian/Janitor to maintain cleanliness of a commercial building in West Michigan. No experience is required, and you will learn on the job while working nights from 12:00am to 6:00am.

You will stock restrooms, dispose of trash, mop, dust, clean windows, and operate basic motorized equipment like vacuums and floor scrubbers. A background check will be conducted, and attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Pleasant personality for a customer-facing role.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

Job Skills / Requirements

Requirements of Custodian/Janitor:

• No Experience, No Problem!
• Effectively communicate with manager and other staff regarding issues and supply needs
• Customer facing role - Must have a pleasant personality
• Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to use motorized equipment (vacuum, hand operated floor cleaners)
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety related materials
• Must be able to pass a background check

Role of Custodian/Janitor:

• Maintaining the cleanliness of a commercial building
• Cleaning, stocking and sanitizing restrooms
• Disposing of trash & recycling
• Mopping & sweeping floors
• This position requires the use of a nightly floor scrubber
• Dusting and surface cleaning
• Windows and glass cleaning
• Inventory management of supplies
• Attention to detail is a must

Custodians/Janitors have daily exposure to cleaning solutions.

Typical Shift: 12:00am to 6:00am (Monday through Friday)
