Job summary

West Michigan Janitorial is seeking a Traveling School Support Custodian/Janitor to service school districts across West Michigan. The role requires travel between sites, cleaning duties, and maintaining a professional demeanor with staff and students.

Shifts include First and Second, Full-Time; travel and flexibility are essential. Training is provided, and routine safety procedures must be followed to ensure clean, safe environments in multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check & fingerprinting.
• Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to use motorized equipment (vacuum, hand operated floor cleaners).
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Traveling School Support Custodian/Janitor(School Region)

Job Skills / Requirements

Requirements of the Traveling School Support Custodian/Janitor:

• Prior experience preferred but not necessary - we will train
• Must have reliable transportation - Own vehicle
• Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to use motorized equipment (vacuum, hand operated floor cleaners)
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety related materials
• Must be able to pass a background check & fingerprinting

Essential functions of the Traveling School Support Custodian/Janitor:

• Travel is required with this role - servicing West Michigan
• Customer facing - must have a respectable demeanor
• Services school districts in West Michigan
• This role may require transport of supplies to various locations
• Must be somewhat flexible with work schedule

Custodians/Janitors have daily exposure to cleaning solutions.

Shifts Available: 1st shift - 7:00am to 3:30pm & 2nd shift - 3:00pm to 12:00am (Monday through Friday)

NOTE: These positions are through the entire year. They provide 12 months of income.
