The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent), with preferred custodial experience and the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum ninth grade education; reading and instruction comprehension tested if no diploma.
• One year of custodial or related experience preferred.
• Physically able to perform essential duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and cleans floors in classrooms, offices, and corridors.
• Uses custodial tools such as mops, buffers, vacuums, and cleaning supplies.
• Collects trash and disposes of it properly; moves furniture as needed.
• Assists in snow removal and lawn/playground maintenance.
• Maintains clean lavatories, walls, windows, and fixtures.
• Responds to emergencies and supports other duties as assigned.
