Job summary

Harford County Public Schools is seeking a Custodian I for Shift 2 to perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment in Bel Air, MD. The role is full-time and year-round, with a salary range and comprehensive benefits.

Minimum ninth grade education is required; one year of custodial experience is preferred. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and operate custodial equipment in a safe, efficient manner.

Qualifications

• Prior custodial experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Must be reliable and able to follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and sweeps/cleans floors in classrooms, offices, and halls.
• Cleans lavatories and windows; maintains cleanliness of facilities.
• Assists in snow removal and grounds maintenance as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
