Virginia Beach City Public Schools is hiring a full-time custodian to maintain cleanliness of school buildings and grounds. The role includes cleaning cafeterias, classrooms, hallways, and restrooms, moving furniture, and setting up spaces for events.

Training provided on cleaning methods, safety practices, and equipment use. Requirements include GED or some high school; preferred high school diploma and custodial experience.

Qualifications

• Required: GED or some high school.
• Preferred: High School Diploma and custodial experience.
• Must be able to read and understand basic English; able to follow simple oral and written directions.

Responsabilités

• Clean cafeteria after lunch, mop floors and wipe tables.
• Pick up paper and trash in bathrooms and hallways; clean spills.
• Move desks and chairs, and set up for events or meetings.
• Lock and secure classrooms and outside doors at end of day.
• Perform related custodial tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, and window washing.
