Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to communicate and work well with staff.
• Knowledge of traffic laws, possession of a driver’s license or passing score on a motor vehicle assessment.
• Basic knowledge of safety practices and first aid.

Responsibilities

• Directs actions of children at intersections or crossing points.
• Escorts students and pedestrians across streets at crossings.
• Records license numbers of vehicles disregarding traffic signals and reports to administrator or law enforcement.
• Places and removes caution signs before/after duty hour.
• Demonstrates patience, courtesy, and tact in interactions.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Education
