Job summary

Washington Elementary School District Chaparral - Phoenix, AZ is seeking a crossing guard for a .5 FTE position. Under general supervision, you will ensure student safety at crosswalks and school properties, explaining traffic rules and assisting with orderly crossings.

Qualifications

• Completion of District Crossing Guard Training Program prior to performing crossing guard duties.
• High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) prior to being hired.
• One year of experience as a crossing guard.

Responsibilities

• Directs, monitors, and assists students and community to cross at established crosswalks and school zones.
• Alerts motorists to the presence of students and community by displaying signs and stops traffic to cross students and community members.
• Maintains discipline by monitoring student behavior per school and District policies.
• Performs other duties as required.
