Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a compassionate CNA to provide substitute classroom support for students with medical and personal-care needs. This PRN position involves nursing-related tasks within a classroom setting and collaboration with school staff to help students participate safely throughout the day.

Responsibilities include assisting with feedings (G-tube preferred), toileting, transfers, and daily activities while following each student’s care plan.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Experience with disabilities or complex medical needs preferred.
• Experience with G-tube feeding strongly preferred.
• Comfortable providing toileting, feeding, mobility and transfer assistance.
• Must complete background checks and health screenings.

Substitute CNA Classroom Assistant

We are seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide substitute classroom support for students with medical and personal-care needs. This is a classroom assistant position with some nursing-related responsibilities. The CNA will work alongside school staff to help students participate safely and comfortably throughout the school day.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with feedings, primarily through G-tubes and occasionally by mouth.


• Provide toileting and personal-care assistance.


• Assist with safe transfers to wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment.


• Support students with daily activities in the classroom.


• Follow each student’s established care plan and safety procedures.


• Communicate effectively with teachers, nurses, and other school staff.


• Maintain students’ dignity, safety, and privacy.
