Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking a compassionate CNA to provide substitute classroom support for students with medical and personal-care needs in a Charleston, SC area school.

This PRN role involves nursing-related tasks in collaboration with school staff to help students participate safely during the day. The position requires current CNA and CPR certifications, and pediatric or disability-care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Experience assisting individuals with disabilities or complex medical needs is preferred.
• Comfortable providing toileting, feeding, mobility, and transfer assistance.
• Compassionate, dependable, patient, and able to work effectively in a classroom environment.
• Must successfully complete all required background checks and health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with feedings by mouth.
• Provide toileting and personal-care assistance.
• Assist with safe transfers to wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment.
• Support students with daily activities in the classroom.
• Follow each student’s established care plan and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, nurses, and other school staff.
• Maintain students’ dignity, safety, and privacy.
