Virginia Beach City Public Schools is seeking a dedicated custodian to maintain cleanliness in school facilities and grounds. Training will be provided on cleaning tools, equipment, supplies, and safety protocols to perform custodial duties effectively.

Essential tasks include cleaning cafeterias, classrooms, hallways, and restrooms; setting up for events; and ensuring buildings are secure at the end of each day. GED or some high school is required, with a high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• GED or some high school required.
• High School Diploma preferred.
• Some custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Responsabilités

• Clean cafeteria after lunch, wipe tables, realign chairs.
• Pick up paper and trash in bathrooms and hallways; clean spills.
• Clean classrooms and surrounding areas; dust and mop floors.
• Wash desks and move desks/tables between areas, including stairs.
• Set up for PTA, special events, and meetings.
• Vacuum floors, shampoo carpets, wash walls and windows.
• Secure and lock classrooms and exterior doors at day end.
• Assist with related custodial duties as required.
