Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of five years large truck and/or auto mechanic experience preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid Class B CDL with endorsement within required time frame.
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol testing as required.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul, repair and service district vehicles, sub-assemblies, and accessories including buses, vans, cars, and trucks.
• Read and interpret manuals and schematics; use diagnostic tools.
• Conduct vehicle safety inspections and report findings.
• Operate school buses and district vehicles; emergency road service as needed.
• Maintain professionalism and effective communication with students, staff and community.
