Job summary

The Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) is seeking a Bus Driver Assistant to help transport children safely on the school bus and support communication with staff and parents. You will work with the Bus Driver to ensure a healthy, educational bus ride and assist with safety procedures.

No prior education or experience is required; benefits are included for eligible employees and the pay ranges from $17.00 to $19.71 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bus Driver to supervise children and ensure no child is left alone or unsupervised.
• Help load and unload children safely from the bus.
• Ensure correct children enter/exit and are released to authorized persons.
• Maintain seating and use of appropriate car seats or seat belts.
• Distribute belongings to the appropriate person after transport.
• Help maintain vehicle capacity and keep the bus clean.
• Participate in transportation safety education for children.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation.
