Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) is seeking a Bus Assistant to support the Bus Driver in safely transporting children and ensuring an educational, calm bus environment. You will work with staff, parents, and children to implement safety procedures and positive behavioral approaches.

No prior education or experience is required; the role offers a wage range of $17.00 to $19.71 hourly, with a comprehensive benefits package. This is a full-time, on-site position in Oregon.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Bus Driver to supervise children and ensure no child is left unsupervised.
• Load and unload children safely from the school bus.
• Ensure correct children enter/exit and are released to an authorized person.
• Make sure children are seated and buckled in appropriate seat belts or car seats.
• Keep belongings secured and distribute them after transportation.
• Maintain vehicle capacity and keep the bus clean.
• Participate in transportation safety education with the children.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation.
• Monitor behavior for safety and educational activities on the bus.
• Provide water or relief on hot days.
• Follow OCDC medication procedures and assist families with forms.
• Facilitate good rapport with parents, children, and staff; relay notes.
