Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) is seeking a Bus Aide to support safe, reliable transportation for children. You will assist the Bus Driver, help load and unload children, ensure proper seat belts, and maintain clear communication with parents and staff.

Qualifications

• No prior education or experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children with the Bus Driver to ensure no child is left alone or unsupervised.
• Load and unload children safely from the school bus.
• Ensure correct children enter and exit the bus and are released to the authorized person.
• Ensure that all children, parents, staff, and volunteers are seated and always buckled in appropriate car seats or seat belts.
• Keep children's belongings safely secured and distributed to the appropriate person after transportation.
• Maintain the vehicle capacity limits and assist in keeping the bus clean.
• Assist the Bus Driver in transportation safety education.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation.
• Monitor behavior on the bus with emphasis on safety and educational activities.
• Provide water or relief on hot days.
• Follow medication procedures including proper storage, forms, and dosage records.
