Job summary

Dean Transportation is seeking a School Bus Attendant in Lake Fenton, MI to safely assist students and passengers with the bus driver during transportation to school and events. Training is provided and no prior experience is required.

Earn up to $18.50 per hour with flexible scheduling and benefits for eligible employees. A 401(k) plan is available after one year of service, with company standards for criminal history and physical exams.

Qualifications

• Meet all general qualifications for employment.
• Meet company, state, and school district standards for criminal history check.
• Meet physical examination requirements.
• Pass drug and alcohol screening as established by company.
• Successfully complete position-specific training as established by company.

Responsibilities

• Safely care for and protect student passengers.
• Conduct emergency evacuation drills as required.
• Instruct passenger riders regarding safety.
• Establish favorable working relationships with school bus drivers, office and maintenance personnel, other bus attendants, student passengers, parents, teachers, principals, and total school or program staff.
• Achieve self-improvement by attending training sessions, annual in-service, and workshops conducted by Dean Transportation and/or other approved agencies.
