Job summary

Dean Transportation is hiring a School Bus Attendant in Muskegon, MI to safely assist students and passengers with the bus driver during transportation for school events and activities.

No prior experience is required, and paid training is provided. Flexible scheduling, benefits for eligible employees, and a 401(k) retirement plan after one year of service are available, with employer contributions based on factors.

Qualifications

• Meet all general qualifications for employment.
• Meet company, state, and school district standards for criminal history check.
• Meet physical examination requirements.
• Pass drug and alcohol screening as established by company.
• Successfully complete position-specific training as established by company.

Responsibilities

• Safely care for and protect student passengers.
• Conduct emergency evacuation drills as required.
• Instruct passenger riders regarding safety.
• Establish favorable working relationships with school bus drivers, office and maintenance personnel, other bus attendants, student passengers, parents, teachers, principals, and total school or program staff.
• Achieve self-improvement by attending training sessions, annual in-service, and workshops conducted by Dean Transportation and/or other approved agencies.
