Job summary

Dean Transportation is seeking a School Bus Attendant in Michigan to safely assist students and other passengers with the bus driver during transportation to and from school and events.

Responsibilities include safety instruction, assisting with evacuations, and maintaining professional relations with staff, parents, and students. Prior experience is not required, and paid training is provided.

Qualifications

• Meet all general qualifications for employment.
• Meet company, state, and school district standards for criminal history check.
• Pass drug and alcohol screening as established by company.

Responsibilities

• Safely care for and protect student passengers.
• Instruct passenger riders regarding safety.
• Establish favorable working relationships with school bus drivers, office and maintenance personnel, other bus attendants, student passengers, parents, teachers, principals, and total school or program staff.
• Achieve self-improvement by attending training sessions, annual in-service, and workshops conducted by Dean Transportation and/or other approved agencies.
