Job summary

Dean Transportation is hiring a School Bus Attendant in Otisville, MI to support Lakeville Community Schools. Earn up to $18.00 per hour with flexible scheduling and paid training. No prior experience is required, and benefits are available to eligible employees with 401(k) after one year of service.

Responsibilities include safely assisting students, supporting the driver, and adhering to safety procedures. Physical tasks include assisting with wheelchairs up to 40 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Meet all general qualifications for employment.
• Meet company, state, and school district standards for criminal history check.
• Meet physical examination requirements.
• Pass drug and alcohol screening as established by company.
• Successfully complete position-specific training as established by company.

Responsibilities

• Safely care for and protect student passengers.
• Conduct emergency evacuation drills as required.
• Instruct passenger riders regarding safety.
• Establish favorable working relationships with school bus drivers, office and maintenance personnel, other bus attendants, student passengers, parents, teachers, principals, and total school or program staff.
• Attend training sessions, annual in-service, and workshops conducted by Dean Transportation and/or other approved agencies.
