Job summary

Dean Transportation in Clare, MI is seeking a School Bus Attendant to assist with route assignments for Clare-Gladwin RESD. You will safely support students and the driver during transportation to and from school and events.

No prior experience is required, and paid training is provided. Flexible scheduling, benefits eligibility, and a 401(k) plan after one year enhance the position. Earn up to $18.00 per hour, with program elections at hire.

Qualifications

• Meet general qualifications for employment.
• Meet company, state, and school district standards for criminal history check.
• Meet physical examination requirements.
• Pass drug and alcohol screening as established by company.
• Successfully complete position-specific training as established by company.

Responsibilities

• Safely care for and protect student passengers.
• Conduct emergency evacuation drills as required.
• Instruct passenger riders regarding safety.
• Establish favorable working relationships with school bus drivers, office and maintenance personnel, other bus attendants, student passengers, parents, teachers, principals, and total school or program staff.
• Attend training sessions, annual in-service, and workshops conducted by Dean Transportation and/or other approved agencies.
