Job summary

Dean Transportation in Birch Run, MI is seeking a School Bus Attendant to safely assist students and the driver during transportation to and from school and events. Earn up to $18.00 per hour with flexible scheduling and paid training; no prior experience required, and benefits packages are available to eligible employees.

As a School Bus Attendant you will protect students, perform safety briefings, and coordinate with drivers and school staff to support a positive, secure travel experience.

Qualifications

• Meet general employment qualifications.
• Meet company, state, and school district standards for criminal history check.
• Meet physical examination requirements.
• Pass drug and alcohol screening as established by company.
• Successfully complete position-specific training as established by company.

Responsibilities

• Safely care for and protect student passengers.
• Conduct emergency evacuation drills as required.
• Instruct passenger riders regarding safety.
• Establish favorable working relationships with school bus drivers, office and maintenance personnel, other bus attendants, student passengers, parents, teachers, principals, and total school or program staff.
• Achieve self-improvement by attending training sessions, annual in-service, and workshops conducted by Dean Transportation and/or other approved agencies.
