Job summary

Drivergent Transportation in Lambertville, MI is seeking a dependable School Bus Driver to transport students safely and on time. You will follow district policies, operate a school bus, and maintain a professional appearance while interacting with students and parents.

Responsibilities include pre-trip/post-trip inspections, GPS navigation, route adherence, and reporting incidents. We offer a 6-hour day guarantee, PTO, health benefits, Aflac, and a company 401k match.

Qualifications

• Responsible for the safe and reliable transportation of students; following client district policies & state/federal laws.
• Able to understand and have empathy for children and persons with disability.
• Extensive knowledge of traffic rules and regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in English sufficient to read road signs and communicate with personnel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections as required.
• Report to duty on time and maintain route on time and in a safe manner.
• Keep the interior of the assigned vehicle clean and presentable.
• Present a neat and professional personal appearance at all times.
• Safely and efficiently utilize vehicle equipment, including wheelchair lifts, radios and emergency equipment.
• Complete all required paperwork (route sheets, timecards, vehicle repair requests).
• Maintain a professional attitude with parents, students, and staff.
