Qualifications

• Must hold RESA certificate and valid CDL (Class A or B).
• Endorsements: Passenger, School Bus, Air Brake.
• Michigan State Education Card required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass Continuing Education Class.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students and operate school bus per policy and laws.
• Maintain calm, safe supervision of students on board.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Report on time and keep routes on schedule.
• Assist passengers during evacuations if needed.
• Inform appropriate personnel of issues.
• Complete route change timecards and vehicle repair requests.
• Keep interior clean and presentable.
• Present neat, professional appearance.
• Maintain professional attitude with parents, staff and riders.
• Operate GPS and vehicle equipment, including wheelchair lifts.
