Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a Part-Time LifeWise vehicle driver in Tulsa to transport students and volunteers, maintain bus safety, and model calm, caring behavior. You will follow traffic laws, perform pre-trip inspections, and assist students with boarding.

A CDL with passenger endorsement is required for larger vehicles, with additional annual verifications for drivers over 75. The role emphasizes religious alignment with LifeWise beliefs, background and MVR checks, and annual physician statements

Qualifications

• Must have mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.
• Regular driver's license and continuous licensure for past three years.
• CDL with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P) for 15-passenger vehicles; 15-passenger vans require no special license.
• Age 21–80; drivers over 75 must submit annual physician's statement and CDL holders over 75 must submit CDL copy and P endorsement annually.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in the last five years; contact HR for eligibility if present.
• Background check and Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) required; annual physician's statement for known medical conditions; drug/alcohol testing per policy.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules and assist students entering/exiting the vehicle; demonstrate a calm, caring demeanor; monitor students for misbehavior.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if agreed with the Director.
