Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time vehicle driver in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to transport students and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a mature, punctual driver with a clean driving history and the ability to pass background checks and drug tests.

The driver will ensure student safety, follow all traffic laws, inspect and refuel the bus, and maintain a safe environment onboard.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a clean driving record with no at-fault accidents in 5 years.
• Must have a regular driver's license and be licensed for past three years.
• Age 21–80; drivers over 75 may require additional documentation.
• Background check and yearly medical statements as required by LifeWise.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing will be conducted as required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws at all times.
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students with entering or exiting the vehicle as needed; stay calm and caring.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if agreed with Director.
