Job summary

Cristo Rey Richmond High School is seeking a Bus Operator to safely transport students on scheduled routes and accompany them on work-study trips. You will serve as a positive ambassador for the school while meeting state and district transportation standards.

The role emphasizes safety, punctuality, and clear communication with students, families, and staff. Full-time and part-time shifts may be available, with benefits for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Valid Virginia Class B CDL.
• Passenger and Air Brake endorsements.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, criminal background check, and TB screening.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students on scheduled morning and afternoon routes.
• Drive students to and from work-study placements.
• Transport students to athletic events, field trips, and school activities.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; maintain a safe environment on the bus.
• Follow all state and federal transportation regulations; communicate professionally with students, parents, faculty, and staff.
• Report vehicle concerns promptly and complete required route documentation.
• Support the mission and values of Cristo Rey Richmond High School.
