Job summary

NRT Bus, Inc. in Needham, MA is hiring for a part-time School Bus Driver. Must have CDL Class B with P & S endorsements or willingness to obtain them; DOT medical card required, and background check will be conducted.

Paid CDL training is available, with opportunity for extra hours through charters and activities. Pay includes base hourly rate, charter/activity pay, and a sign-on bonus. This role offers weekday only shifts, with a guaranteed minimum hours and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Safe driving record
• Age 21+ with at least 3 years of driving experience
• Ability to pass background check & drug screening
• Effective communication in English (spoken & written)

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and events
• Drive assigned local routes
• Perform pre trip and post trip inspections
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff
• Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies

Already a fully licensed CDL Driver (A or B) with P & S endorsements ? Earn a $8,000 Sign-On Bonus! No CDL? No problem. We provide paid training.

We're hiring now for the 2026-2027 school year.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $36.05 (Effective 8/24/26)
• Paid Training: $20/hour
• Charter/Activity Trips: $27.81/hour (Effective 8/24/26)
• Schedule: Part time, split shift (AM/PM)
• Weekdays only - no nights, weekends, or holidays
• Weekly pay + guaranteed minimum hours

Requirements
