Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time CDL bus driver to transport students safely to and from the LifeWise site. The ideal candidate demonstrates responsibility, punctuality, and a mature Christian faith in alignment with our Statement of Faith, and maintains a clean driving record.

You will complete background checks, MVR and FMCSA Clearinghouse screenings, drug testing, and required training. Duties include pre-trip inspections, keeping the bus clean, enforcing safety, assisting students,

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• CDL with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P) required.
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Age 21–80; annual submission of CDL license copy and (P) endorsement if over 75.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in 5 years.
• Background check and FMCSA Clearinghouse verification required.
• Drug/alcohol testing as required (pre-employment, random, post-incident).
• Annual Physician's Statement for medically known conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules and assist students.
• Demonstrate a calm, caring demeanor and monitor students for help or misbehavior.
• Complete required LifeWise Academy training; volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if agreed.
