An established industry player is seeking a compassionate School Bus Attendant dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of students with special needs during transportation. This role involves assisting drivers, maintaining discipline, and providing basic first aid when necessary. Under the direction of the Supervisor, Transportation, assists students with special needs during transport to and from school and/or special activities; assists drivers in the loading, unloading, and securing of handicapped students.
An examination will be given to establish an eligibility list for the position of School Bus Attendant to fill current and future vacancies. These positions are 4 - 7 hours/day, split shift, during the school year. The eligibility list will be valid for 6 months or until exhausted (whichever comes first).

The examination process may include one or more of the following: written exam, performance and/or technical oral examination.

Examinations will be given by appointment only. Following the conclusion of the Examination process, candidates will be ranked and notified of their scores.
Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school or equivalent GED, plus experience working with individuals with disabilities or school-aged children.
Indoor and outdoor bus environment; exposure to weather, fumes, and noise; physical activities include sitting, lifting, bending, and climbing stairs.
Traffic, dissatisfied individuals, potential contact with blood/body fluids.
